Volunteering

Volunteering in Carroll Park does not require a large time commitment - you can volunteer on a regular basis or sign up for a special event. Below is a list of ongoing projects followed by specific volunteer opportunities. Just email us at friendsofcarrollpark@yahoo.com to find out more details.

UPDATE: Anyone who volunteers for 2 or more hours will receive a free museum pass to either The Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens or NYC Transit Museum.

• Gardening - Weeding, planting and pruning are always ongoing. Kids love to dig in the dirt and watch things grow, so bring them with you to help.
• Special Events - You can make phone calls, send emails, distribute flyers, or help out on the day of an event. These small time commitments (usually an hour or two) can really help.
• Promotions & Website Maintenance - If you're a graphic designer, we can always use your help creating flyers for events and updating our website.
• Donations - All tax-deductible donations are used to pay for supplies, special events and maintenance projects. Local business owners are encouraged to sponsor events. Just email us for details.

We'd like to give a special thanks to the volunteers from New York Cares, who came out for Hands On NY Day. They helped paint the fences and benches to spruce up the park for spring. Thanks guys!
