Carroll Park is lucky enough to have a summer playground associates program, run by our own Kathleen Henderson. From April through September you will see Kathleen around the park supplying the children with toys, organizing games, and running arts & crafts projects. Kathleen has won many awards and even been honored as NY1's New Yorker of the Week. Kathleen is available Tuesday - Saturday from 9AM - 5PM.
These services are provided for free, so be sure to take advantage of them. Kathleen just asks that you follow a few simple guidelines:
- Toys, games, books and art projects are only available on days Kathleen is working.
- Please supervise your children while using all toys, games and books to ensure they are returned in the same condition they were given.
- Please return all borrowed toys, games and books to the park house at the end of the day.
- For children 6 and under, parents or caregivers must participate with their children in arts projects.
